NonPop Home Dali: Bio
Dali Colorado is a poet, lyricist, musician, and dancer. She has studied music classically, compositionally, academically, and spiritually for the past 15 years.

Hand in hand with the study of poetry and dance, music has molded Dali into the fierce, world-conquering Diva she is. She has spent the past seven years working on her own lyrics/poetry and growing as a writer.

During college on the east coast she spent much of her time organizing/producing/promoting multi-media musical events and broadcasting and hosting her own radio show (WERS 88.9 FM Boston Reprezent!!!!).

After college graduation she moved back to her native Los Angeles for two years and educated autistic, inner-city children on music. Word.

She has spent the last year in the Bay Area writing and reading poetry and studying Afro-Cuban dance. As of August 2001, she will be traveling to Cuba to write her first short story, study Musica/Danca Afro-Cubana, a break some hearts. Hoooootie-Hoo!

The excerpts "Crown One" and "Crown Two" are from a longer piece Dali is writing in memoriam to her favorite painter Jean-Michel Basquiat. The piece "Birthday Boxed In" is a spoken word work that fairly speaks for itself.
